George: A Memoir Companion Grief Workbook

Losing a beloved pet can be one of a child’s first experiences with grief. This workbook was created to give children a safe and gentle place to express their feelings, remember the pet they loved, and begin to navigate the journey of grief.

Inspired by Joanne Kimm’s book George: A Memoir, this 31 day companion workbook invites children to draw, colour, write, reflect and remember. Through age-appropriate activities, children can explore their feelings, record special memories, celebrate the bond they shared with their pet, and discover that there is no right or wrong way to grieve.

The workbook includes colouring pages, creative activities, memory prompts, opportunities for drawing and writing, and gentle exercises designed to encourage children to express themselves at their own pace.

Whether their pet was a cat, dog, bunny, bird, fish or another beloved companion, children can use these pages to remember the happy moments, acknowledge the difficult feelings, and keep the love they shared close to their hearts.

There is no timeline for grief. Every child’s journey is different.

George: A Memoir Companion Grief Workbook offers children a gentle space to remember, reflect and heal-one page at a time.
